Review of the Strategy for the Development of Samoa - Dec 2007
Samoa is currently reviewing its 3-Year Stategy for the Development of Samoa (SDS) 2005-2007, however, in the past this review process has only occurred once every 3 years. The new SDS (2008-2012) is a 4-Year document and is now to be reviewed annually because of the urgent need to harmonize all of Samoa's development projects, programmes and processes.
Because of G-PAS, and because Samoa has submitted over $USD10million worth of project proposals (see following postings), it is important that all the activities highlighted in these G-PAS Proposals are recorded or at least acknowledged within the new SDS (2008-2012).
In addition, Samoa has now become a recipient of the G-PAS Country Support Programme for the following 4 years (2007-2011), and a detailed WorkPlan has been approved in order to create greater awareness in-country of the current G-PAS endeavours over the next 4 years (see next posting).
This GEF-PAS Country Support Programme Blog, therefore, acts to help create the awareness of G-PAS activities and goals.
