GEF Project Status in Samoa - 2007

To date, 19 GEF-funded projects have been carried-out or commenced in Samoa since 1992. One concern has been whether these projects are followed-up by Government. In some cases, the follow-up process has been considered slow and this will hopefully be rectified in the coming years.

No exact details are provided but an analysis of the sustainability of past projects is warranted, especially in light of the 6-10 GEF-PAS projects about to be commenced in Samoa from 2008 onwards.
